Prof. Utomi (born 6 February 1956) is a Nigerian professor of political economy and a management expert.

Prof. Patrick Okedinachi Utomi

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria and a former presidential candidate. He is the founder of the Centre for Values in Leadership and was the first presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress.

Utomi is a professor at Lagos Business School and has held senior roles in government and the private sector. He has served as an adviser to the President of Nigeria and as Chief Operating Officer of Volkswagen Nigeria. He has also chaired several social enterprises, including PING and Women Arise, and co founded The Concerned Professionals, a prominent organisation that opposed military rule.

Patrick Utomi is the author of several influential books and case studies. His work Managing Uncertainty: Competition and Strategy in Emerging Economies won the Abiola Prize for Best Academic Textbook published in Nigeria in 1998. Other notable titles include Why Nations Are Poor, Business Angel as Missionary, The Art of Leading, Critical Perspectives in Political Economy and Management, and To Serve Is To Live.
